consider
In terms of figuring out how I am feeling...I am very tired...not helping with the whole group project we have to do since I traveled this weekend into Mountain time...I have been trying to eat better and take vitamins to help with not getting sick and drinking lots of water! Everybody is getting sick and i know sooner or later it will probably catch up with me but i'm hoping i can miss it. also the amazing weather in utah helped...it was sunny, bright and slightly breezy that was just perfect...now i'm back in NE and its rainy and yucky :( no fun!

grow.....
In terms of my own personal growth...lately I have been hanging out with friends that I did hang out with the first year of college. Everybody had different schedules and moved dorms and it was hard for everybody to get together and we all agreed but lately we have all be talking more and decided that once a week we were going to meet and hang out and chat and catch up. This is amazing because even though we haven't chatted a lot we still talk like it was just yesterday we were together. Also, I have made many new friends from where I work and also from my classes. This is amazing to have such a wide group of friends!! I also blogged at the beginning of the year about connecting with family. My dad and I are going out to Utah over midterm break to see my greatgrandma and grandma (his grandma and mom). I have not seen my grandma since I was 10 and i seen my greatgrandma for my high school graduation. This will be an interesting trip out there and back (praying the weather doesn't get to bad).
I am also volunteering for Haven House and I am very excited to just in and help. I have had some relationship problems growing up (dating and boyfriends) and I have grown from those experiences and will hopefully help others that need the same support I had or even just somebody they can talk to just so they can say it outloud and figure out what they need to do for themselves. I am very excited to see what the next couple of weeks brings!!!

Being yourself
"Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are" - Kurt Cobain
Growing up you always have role models. When I was growing up I always wanted to be like my parents. They taught me everything I wanted to know and more. My dad always let me help him work on his projects and my mom let me "read" my story books to her, I thought these were the best times. But in growing older, I discovered there were other people out there I wanted to be like. Not the supermodel/celebrities but the ones that were always in the background helping the other succeed. I always loved watching TLC on tv and still do today. On this show its so many people helping others to live better lives and make the best of who they are even if they don't see themselves that way. In wanting to be someone else, never made sense to me. I never really followed the trends that were set by classmates, I did what I thought was right and opinions didn't matter when it came to what I felt was right. I always try to overcome my goals and set new and higher standards for myself and for everyone around me. Because I believe in positive reinforcement, you will never accomplish anything by always being put down. Even if I do have negative thoughts and sometimes voice them, I always go back and try to correct my mistakes and think of positive things. In never wanting to be somebody else I feel I have become a role model for many people. I always strive to do my best in everything and I want others to do and feel the same.
